Canadian actor and musician Cory Monteith found dead in his hotel room in the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel, in Vancouver from an accidental drug overdose (heroin and alcohol) on July 13, 2013 at a tender age of 31. He is best known for his role as Finn Hudson in the Fox television series, “Glee.” But he is also an accomplished film actor. Unfortunately he was caught up in substance abuse since age 12 and was in and out of rehabilitation throughout his short life.
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada Cory began his acting career in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada playing a role as Douglas Hart in Killer Bash in 2005. Subsequent movies include Bloody Mary, Deck the Halls, Glee: 3D Concert Movie, and McCanick to name a few. But he is best known for his role in Glee, casting as Finn Hudson since 2009. He was chosen for the role after mass audition in Los Angeles. He played a role in the Glee Club as the star quarterback in his high school team. He won 2011 Teen Choice Award for Choice TV: Actor Comedy category for the role in Glee. An episode of Glee will be dedicated to celebrate Cory’s life.
